OUR VISION

Intersect KC’s vision is to become a hub for intersecting individuals, community, resources, leaders and causes for a thriving Kansas City where needs are met and everyone belongs.

OUR MISSION

To intersect people and organizations around the things we need and care about, using our space as the place where People, Purpose, and Power intersect.

WHY

Intersect KC was formed to oversee Micah Ministry and Intersect Arts and to expand use of the 606 Gladstone building to give neighbors access to additional resources, life-enriching experiences and community transforming initiatives.  Intersect KC amplifies the reach of Micah Ministry and opens the door to additional programming and fundraising sources.

WHAT

Intersect KC’s vision is partnering with others to optimize the use of the 606 Gladstone building as a community center in addition to a house of worship, bridging gaps in services, connecting people, and building community resiliency through providing:

  • Life-Giving Resources - food, clothing and hygiene products and access to job-training, scholarships, food stamps, medical care, support groups and case management

  • Life-Enriching Experiences - wellness classes, creative and martial arts classes, films, concerts, theater, and family-friendly neighborhood events

  • Life-Transforming Gatherings - town halls; community organizing events; justice summits; listening sessions and public leader engagement

WHO

Intersect KC’s Board includes members from the local community, from across the metro and from Independence Boulevard Christian Church (IBCC).  Intersect KC is led by its Executive Director, Rev. Mindy Fugarino.

Intersect KC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization registered with the state of Missouri.
