MICAH CLOTHES CLOSET

Life Giving Resources

Addressing Needs
Providing Comfort
Caring for Neighbors

Every Monday night from 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM, the Micah Adult Clothing Closet provides ready-
to-wear, in-season clothing, outdoor survival items, hygiene products, sheets, blankets, and towels to our neighbors in Northeast Kansas City. Volunteers act as personal shoppers for our guests after they request the things they need. We serve 250-300 people every week with the majority being men.

Each week, approximately 850 clothing items are handed out in addition to up to 300 outdoor living items to help make our neighbors more comfortable. We are able to supply these to our guests through the generosity of in-kind and monetary donations from individuals, churches, schools, organizations and community groups.

You can make an impact on our community!

CLOTHES CLOSET NEEDS

Donations of new or gently used items can make life easier for our guests who are resource constrained and/or who live on or close to the street. Explore the ways you can make an impact on our neighbors.

Micah’s Clothes Closet accepts donations of new or gently used clothing and outdoor living essentials. Please donate clean, casual, in-season clothing. We are not able to take donations that have stains or holes in order to protect the dignity of our guests.

  • If you have donations of dress clothing like suits, dress shoes, prom or winter dresses, please take them to another community partner or thrift store.

  • The only household items we provide our guests are sheets, blankets, pillows and towels. Please donate home décor, kitchen items, rugs to another organization.
