PROGRAMS

Intersect KC builds upon the original vision of the members of Independence Boulevard Christian Church to be a hub offering life giving resources, life enriching experiences and life transforming gatherings that result in a safe, healthy and vibrant community. It starts with food, clothing, care and opportunities to create connections. It's how to eventually lead to putting individuals on the path of moving from surviving to thriving and from isolation to community.

THE MICAH MINISTRY

Since 2001, this ministry has served hungry neighbors here in the Historic Northeast. With many volunteers, donations, and partners, we now provide weekly wrap-around services including: warm meals served with care, bonus grocery items, hygiene items, clothing & outdoor living supplies, free medical care provided by Care Beyond the Boulevard, mail support, and other resources. Volunteers are always welcome.

INTERSECT ARTS

People from various backgrounds and circumstances come together, united by shared interests and dreams for the community. We embrace art as a vital means to explore our collective stories and find common ground.

Take a Martial Arts or Yoga class, bring your child to a music class, join our street choir, teach a class, etc. Check back often to see the latest classes added.

FRUITION MONDAY

We invest in building communal power and dignified relationships by gathering with neighbors each week before Monday night Micah Ministry begins serving dinner. We create a space to hear from public leaders, enjoy live music, learn from community organizers, build community, and give a “voice” to residents' stories. We are always looking for public leaders, musicians, artists, and community organizers.
